Kat Dennings, born Katherine Victoria Litwack on June 13th 1986 in Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania was the first child of Ellen and Gerald Dennings. Ellen was Ellen's mother. She was both a speech-therapist and poet. Gerald, her father was a professor and molecular pharmacist. Dennings is the smallest of five children, and was brought up in an all-Jewish household. Dennings was not a student at a conventional school for long but was instead homeschooled. When she started acting at an early age, she realized it was a good idea to homeschool as a method. The actress had begun her doing commercials when she was at the age of nine. She moved to Los Angeles with her family after graduating from high school, to study acting.
